Focus On Youth In Agriculture

A New Generation Of
Commercial Farmers

Nine hundred of the 1,500 farmers in our network are youth. Their production is the centre of gravity for everything we build.

Youth participation is central to GRP Feats' model. We work directly with young farmers across our operational communities to help them treat farming as a viable, scalable enterprise rather than a subsistence activity. Beneficiaries are selected based on their location, crops grown, cultivated acreage, and demonstrated readiness for production support, ensuring that assistance translates into completed production cycles, improved yields, and lasting agribusiness capacity.

This focus directly complements the Ministry of Food and Agriculture's own priorities: expanding youth employment in agriculture, improving productivity and food security, and building a new generation of commercially oriented farmers.

Selection Criteria

How Beneficiaries Are Chosen

Support goes where it will complete a production cycle, not where it will simply be absorbed.

  • 01

    Location

Within one of our eleven operational communities, reachable by our field teams.

  • 02

    Crops Grown

Producing crops we source and trade: maize, soybean, sesame, shea nut, cashew.

  • 03

    Cultivated Acreage

Land already under cultivation, with capacity to absorb inputs productively.

  • 04

    Readiness

Demonstrated readiness for production support and group participation.

What It Delivers

Outcomes We Track

Assistance is judged by what it leaves behind at the end of the season.

  • Completed production cycles: from land preparation through to sale, not abandoned mid-season.
  • Improved yields through better input rates, timing, and agronomic practice.
  • Lasting agribusiness capacity: record-keeping, group discipline, and market experience that carry into the next season.
  • Youth employment in agriculture, aligned with national priorities for the sector.
